Noé Font picks out one of his favourite tricks that Gianmaria Coccoluto stomped in La Dolce Vita

Coco is an absolute air trick machine! He will go out and land everything first try for the first twenty minutes and then cruise around trying to learn a new grab or taking off from blind. All this playing around is what makes his bag of tricks so massive. He’s been doing lots of ‘mummy wraps’ (when you do a flat spin, but instead of passing the bar behind your back, you keep it in the same hand and let the lines wrap around you on landing). He does them when the wind is light or on simple tricks, but in this case he brought it into a more difficult trick – the Backside 540. Not only did he mummy wrap it, he also added a nose grab in between. The BS540 is most people’s first double handle-pass, which makes it a big milestone, but also a trick that a lot of top riders now do. His ability to customize this trick with a nose grab and landing all wrapped up in his lines is definitely a way to stand out!
