TEST EXCERPT While the Bandit XV is as comfortable as anyone would need, the top end jumping and kite loop performance hasn’t been dumbed down. It’s just right for progressing intermediates and advanced riders. Sporty, with controlled aggression, the power delivery and balance is just a joy to experience.

Kite loops produce excellent G-forces. Bully came off the water absolutely buzzing and to frothy comments from other kiters who had been impressed on the beach – this is a phenomenally well tuned kite for serious performance. The feeling at the bar is just right; firm but easy and extremely intuitive, allowing you to drive the kite through a turn with a wonderful feeling of balanced power. The Bandit XV’s wind range is extraordinary in both the nine and seven metre, from the good low end to the amazing top end. You don’t need to wait for 30 knots for the fun to begin on the nine and, finally, we have a seven metre that really delivers height mixed with hangtime and, crucially, excellent descent control. From the compact, clean bar through to the impeccably balanced air frame, this kite is sick. It’s so polished. If we were handing out just one score, it would be a ten.
